News flash…

Hey folks,

For those who read my post from last Friday and are curious about my next steps, I just received a message from the nurse practitioner of my surgery team at MD Anderson.

After receiving a flood of automated emails from the MDACC “My Chart” Portal notifying me that my appointments with the Investigational Therapy group were canceled this week, I finally received a message from the nurse practitioner stating simply that I won’t begin the Phase I trial and that the surgery is now being planned. She is on vacation this week, so I don’t think I’ll here anything else.

So, all I know is that I’m going to have the very scary pelvic exenteration sometime in the next couple of months, but I don’t know exactly when. We are continually encouraged by reminders that people are praying for us, so we know we can count on them. Thanks so much for that. We are praying for all the many needs of our friends and family, too, including for those who don’t even think prayer matters…

Many blessings,

Brent

We love you and are praying for you…keep being real. “The capacity to which we surrender our lives to Christ is the capacity to which we will be filled by Him.” On your knees and open arms is a great place to be. You are not alone. The Fellowship is with you …
