Hey folks
It was a long day, but it wound up very encouraging.
The MRI showed very little tumor growth, and the CT scans showed no other visible disease in my body. I’m so relieved by this news, because I’ve been off treatment for 8 weeks, and the treatment had become ineffective for a long while before we stopped. Whew!
In other news, I learned that the treatment protocol will eventually only require me to be in Nashville every three weeks, which is less frequently than before (every 2 weeks). The first few months will be busy, but, provided all goes well, the travel will become much more manageable.
Oh, and did I tell you that I will only be taking pills (no infusion) and that the side effects are expected to be minor?
Kim and I are thrilled by this news.
I start the Monday after Thanksgiving. We’ll pray that my health remains stable.
I had several reasons to be discouraged before this trip, and I was pretty nervous today. I’m honestly shocked by the good news. It has to be a God thing. I’m humbly thanking the Lord.

I needed a picture, so I took an eye-selfie after getting them dialated this afternoon (the study requires periodic eye exams). Fun fun.
