Hey folks

I have some strange feelings about this post, perhaps stranger than any before. After a lot of encouragement (my mom, of course, but others), I finally compiled the blog posts into a book. I finished the writing back in November, 2017, and then my friendly design/marketing friend took over to complete the project. As you can see from the image, my dog, Cooper, is a big fan. I almost put a picture of my friend, Billy, holding the book, but then he had the idea to use a dog prop, which I liked, so he lost his chance at fame. Sorry, Bill, but thanks.

I’m not sure what I expect out of this endeavor. At a minimum, I have something to give to my kids, who, for the most part, haven’t read most of the posts (they lived them, as they put it). But, if there are folks out there who don’t read blogs much and prefer the written form on their bedside table (like me), then this is for them…assuming they want to delve into my fight with cancer and my faith journey. I know there are people with similar struggles to mine, and there are the many caretakers, too, and friends and family of people going through tough times. Perhaps some of what I’ve written will be of use to someone. Only God knows the answer to that.

The book was published on a site called Blurb.com, and you can buy it directly from there, if interested (there’s a tiny shopping cart above the book when you click the book image below). I may very well end up printing and shipping myself, but I’ll wait to see what response I get.
